Terms of use

Duwamu is a directory of running events and clubs in Sri Lanka. We list runs organised by others and, for free runs, can take registrations on the organiser’s behalf. We don’t organise runs, sell tickets or take payments.

Runs are organised and run by their organisers, who are responsible for them. Duwamu checks listings for obvious problems before publishing, but we don’t inspect routes, venues or safety arrangements. Run within your ability, follow the organiser’s instructions and look after yourself.

Details can change at short notice. Check the organiser’s own channels before you travel.

• Only list runs you organise or are authorised to list.
• Runs listed through the organiser portal must be free to join. Paid events go through our paid event inquiry.
• Keep details accurate, and mark runs or dates as cancelled when they’re called off.
• Only upload images you have the right to use, and don’t include identifiable people without their permission.
• You let us display your listing, images and public profile details on Duwamu and in share previews.

• A registration is a free place for one date. Cancel if you can’t go, so your place goes to the next person.
• Organisers who use Duwamu registration receive participants’ details for that run only. They must use them only to run the event, keep them confidential and not add people to mailing lists.
• Organisers must only check in people who actually attended. Duwamu may reverse check-ins and the XP, badges or leaderboard places that depended on them.
• Achievements and levels recognise participation. They aren’t a measure of fitness or performance.

We may decline, edit for clarity, unpublish or remove listings and profiles that are inaccurate, misleading, unsafe, spam, or break these terms. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

Duwamu is provided as is. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses arising from events listed here or from relying on listing details. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Sri Lankan law that can’t be excluded.
